The 1999–2000 season was a glorious one for Rangers FC under manager Dick Advocaat. They swept to a domestic treble, winning the Scottish Premier League by a commanding 21 points, lifting the Scottish Cup with a 4–0 victory over Aberdeen, and securing the League Cup after beating Aberdeen again 2–1. The squad, featuring stars like Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Jörg Albertz, Barry Ferguson, Arthur Numan, and Michael Mols, was widely regarded as one of Rangers’ finest. In Europe, they competed in the Champions League group stage, showing flashes of quality but failing to progress. Domestically, however, they were untouchable.
